Teacher Appreciation

I LOVE Parker’s teacher. She is amazing! And I wish I could express to her how much I appreciate her. Parker has had such a fun Kindergarten year. He’s learned SO much, much more than I ever learned in Kindergarten, and probably even 1st grade!

I’ve been trying to make her week a little bit “sweeter.” That’s the least I can do for her. Yesterday I made chocolate covered strawberries. {Side note: I took the kids to pick strawberries the night before…and I was greatly disappointed! The berries were tiny…the kids were running wild…..and Parleigh was covered head to toe in strawberry juices. Not the most fun trip to the strawberry field, that is for sure!} Today we brought her a dozen chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes. And for tomorrow I already have cookie dough “resting” in the fridge so I can make the giant chocolate chip cookies. We’ll see what I come up with for Friday. I’m debating between two things.

On one hand I feel like I am doing too much. But on the other hand, I can’t thank Parker’s teacher enough for TEACHING my child. I can’t imagine being a teacher, let alone a Kindergarten teacher! I don’t have the patience to teach all those little kids. Whew! It makes me exhausted just thinking about it!

And I know how it feels to get something special, to know that someone cares, and to feel appreciated.

There is NO way I could ever thank her enough. So am I going overboard with this? I think not. She deserves it! And so much more!
