Because I couldn’t just do two things for Parker’s teachers, I finished the week off strong.
I made the best ever chocolate chip cookies, again. There’s no shame in that! Who wouldn’t love giant chocolate chip cookies, especially when they don’t have to do the dishes afterward! :)
It was hard coming up with something different this time around. I felt like I was using “smart cookie” too much {it’s what I did last time!}. But in the end, I figured it didn’t matter.
And I had Parker fill in the blanks. {That’s different, right?} And who doesn’t love kindergartener handwriting and pure honesty?
Yesterday afternoon while Parker was at school we went and picked strawberries. {It was a MUCH better experience than Monday!!}
I thought Parker’s teachers would love some strawberry jam and bread. {Wouldn’t you?}
We made jam {I’ll post about that later!} last night, and I made homemade bread this morning. {It was literally still warm when Parker brought it to school!}
Last night when I was getting ready for bed, I realized I had NO way to package the bread. And, instead of running to the store in the morning {in between the bread rising and getting kids fed and dressed and the house straightened up} I whipped up some “bread bags.” {Ha! Kinda funny when THAT is easier than running to the store!}
What did YOU do for Teacher Appreciation week? :)
Soooooo adorable! What lucky teachers!!! Seriously!! Very lucky! And the bread bags you made are adorable! Super clever!
ReplyDeletewow, I seriously feel super unable to do all of this awesome crafty baking and sewing stuff you do! It is amazing to me and sooo cute! I want to learn (and find time! Reagan is at a hard age to get anything done!). Maybe once our kids are a little older :) BUt then again you find time with 4! Amazing
