T.M.I.

Here is a glimpse into our family's life this past week. Since I haven't been blogging, but still want you all to know the "Lineberry happenings", here it is. I'm sure by the end of this you will say TMI! ♥

Last week we went to the beach. Yes, I know it is the end of September. But, who can blame us when the weather is 85 degrees? It was extremely nice having the whole beach to ourselves. Ben and the boys {and Paisley} got in the water, but never quite convinced me that it was warm enough!

Paisley ♥♥♥'s the beach. Okay. Let me rephrase. Paisley ♥♥♥'s to grab fistfuls and fistfuls of sand and shove them into her mouth. Unfortunately, since we are at the beach, there isn't really anything I can do about it. Well, except let her father rinse her off in the water!She enjoyed it. Really. She did!

Ben's Birthday was on Friday. The big 2-8. We surprised him up at the Fire Station with cake and ice cream, and the whole family. The boys enjoyed eating chocolate cake with chocolate frosting with hot fudge drizzled on top. As you can see, they started acting pretty goofy about 10 seconds into the first bite. It had already gone straight to their head!

This is what happens when you have a bunch of bored firemen at the fire station:

Sunday we went out to Donna and Benji's for dinner. {And some Redskin football!} Here are the cutest Redskin's fans, EVER!
Paisley has almost completely stopped army crawling and is now officially crawling! It's about time!

She's our little table dancer!

Okay. Maybe it isn't Too Much Information. You know you liked it!

Welcome

to my {new} blog.
I'm still trying to figure it out. And, I have stayed up way too late fixing it up! {Why can't I just do things the uncomplicated way?}
I'm not sure why, but take note of this: in order to leave a comment, you need to click on the current post title of which you want to leave a comment on. Make sense? For instance: If you want to leave a comment on this post, click on Welcome and it should take you to the page where you can comment. Don't ask me why. And, if you can tell me why it doesn't have a link for comments, let me know. I'm confused about it. And, the reason why I care so much about comments, is well, I LIVE for comments. It makes me happy. Come on, who doesn't want to know that other people are taking the time out of their busy lives to read their blog? Thought so!
Enjoy!

Let me

rephrase this. Our family may have a "family" song, but Parker has a favorite song.

{don't mind how dark the video is, or how poorly taped it is. just enjoy the music!}

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

does anybody else

have a "family" song? Come on, you can admit it. A song where you all get excited when it comes on, your two year old says, "Tur it up, Mom" {Preston talk for Turn it up!}, your 10 month old starts shaking her booty {is that appropriate to say?}, and your body starts releasing endorphins from being happy? This was our old family song. But, now we have a new one!

Well, if you don't have one, I'll let you borrow our "family" song. {Just promise me that you will dance!}

{for some reason, the real music video won't let you copy it. oh well! enjoy!}

How EXCITING

I never enter contests. Never. And when I say never, I mean never ever! I always like to look at the fine print where it says chances of wining are 1:1,000,000,000 gazillion. So,what's the point? This last week, I was reading one of my favorite blogs, Ucreate, and I decided, what the heck, I'll enter this giveaway. Maybe if I win, it will be the the motivation that I need to get back into scrapbooking.
Well, guess what? I WON!
I'm so excited.

Picture from Ucreate

How can I not be excited to get scrapping again?

a {few} confessions

1. I did not buy a new camera. I am using a perfectly good camera that we have had since before Parker was born that I forgot was still a good camera. I just need to charge up some rechargeable batteries because it eats up regular ones.

2. I fed my children peas. A whole plate of them. I don't like peas, but I told them how good they are and they should eat them. Is that considered lying? It's not that they don't taste good to most people, just to me. I'm glad they believe me. Paisley was eating them like they were green skittles. {Good thing she doesn't know what green skittles taste like, yet.}

3. I am addicted to Scentsy, Twilight Series, and Facebook. In that order.

With some tuppence

for paper and string. {You} can have your own set of wings! :)

And that is what we did! Ben got it in his mind that he wanted to go fly a kite. We scoured the entire toy department at Walmart {twice} until we finally found the {one} kite available. This lucky parrot was ours for the taking.

Atop Mt. Trashmore, {yes} we climbed a pile of trash to fly our kite, and {yes} it is the tallest point in Va Beach, we launched our kite. And no, it doesn't stink.

We each took turns:

{Parker}

{Preston}

{Kate} {Who doesn't like a nice little action shot?}

In case you didn't notice, we are not fishing. We are flying our kite...with a fishing pole. I think at this point, Ben had taken the rod off of the reel, but it is tied onto fishing line, none the less.

It was a little windy. Nice for kite flying. Not nice for taking pictures.

Sometimes, Paisley can be a pill and doesn't want her picture taken.

So what do I do? That's right...I.....

10 Months. {really?}

My baby girl is growing up so fast! She has been {out} of my body longer than she was {in}. Plus this is the longest that I have gone without getting pregnant again, so every day is a first for me! I'm realizing it's nice to NOT be pregnant with an almost toddler crawling around!

Paisley at 10 months:

*Army crawls everywhere. Not quite crawling on her hands and knees. But, she will every once in a while. She will get up and rock back and forth.

*Starting to pull herself up onto her knees, sometimes onto her feet. That takes too much effort, and what if she gets stuck?

* 3 bottom teeth, 4 top teeth.

* Loves to laugh. {But can be oh-so-serious!)

*Sleeps all night. 2 naps during the day.

* Eats more food than the boys. {Seriously}

* Loves watching Baby Einstein.

*Shakes her head "no" really fast if she doesn't like something.

* Such a water baby! Loves bath time, and the pool!

* Loves her brothers.

Paisley is such a sweetheart! --♥--

is it possible

to blog without a camera?

I honestly don't think so!

My camera has officially gone *kerplut!*. There is no hope left for it. Even with using a pencil to take pictures....it won't even turn on. We actually went to Best Buy yesterday and fell in love with quite a few cameras. I am currently taking donations for the Kate's Blog is Completely Boring Without a Camera and She Desperately Needs One to Document Her Children's Childhood Fund. Just make check's payable to Kate Lineberry. I will take cash! :)

Since I don't have any current pictures to post, we will take a trip into the PAST!

Labor Day weekend 2006:
We drove through Tropical Storm Ernesto on our way to the mountains for the annual Lineberry Family Reunion. It was such a fun trip.

Labor Day 2008
It looks like we stayed home. Preston is one unphotogenic chunky little boy, and Parker is a ham. How things have changed! Oh, and it looks like we went to the Aquarium.
Labor Day 2008:
We once again went to the mountains for the Lineberry Family Reunion. We rented a house, went fishing, enjoyed family, and ate some good food.

Labor Day 2009:

We will be staying home. Ben works. And I don't have a camera. {unless you want to donate to the fund!}
