this is why we live in Va Beach!

Yesterday was a beautiful day. Perfect for the beach. I called up my friend Robin. Here's what our conversation was like:

{phone ringing}

Robin: Hello!
Me: What in the world are you doing?
Robin: Nothing. What are you doing?
Me: What are your plans for the day?
Robin: What are you planning on me doing today?

Seriously. This is what I have to work with?
Anyway, Ben suggested we go to the beach. It was tons of fun. The water was perfect. {I didn't get dragged in this time}

Sometimes my boy can be so goofy. I am not quite sure WHERE he gets it from. He was like:

Parker: Mom, take a picture of me and my shovel like this
Me: Like this?

Parker: No, like this, Mom!
Me: Oh, okay!

Pam can correct me if I'm wrong {this may or may not be an aircraft carrier. Pretty sure it is. }

Paisley was LOVING the sand. She didn't like the water, but she just rolled around in the sand. Maybe she was showing off for Jacob?

My cutie of a husband. He's probably going to kill me once he realizes I put this picture of him on here. It's the only one I took of him, and I am sure he wants proof that he was there. {then again, he probably won't kill me!}

We then invited Robin's whole family over for dinner. Ben made chicken tacos with homemade guacamole and salsa. I wish I was a good cook...but I won't complain that he is AWESOME! It was a lot of fun--the kids played in the backyard while us adults were able to have some adult conversation! {I even convinced Ben to FINALLY get me a picnic table. It will be nice to have a place to sit outside. It just needs to be painted, now!}

What better desert than some marshmallows? Technically they aren't s'mores. Sorry bout that, kids!

where did that come from?

Seriously. Major apology for the last post. After I reread it, I realized I didn't really want to read it, so why would you, right? I was intending to write more, then got sidetracked, which NEVER happens, right?
What a day. A rainy rainy not get much done but just a few things kind of day. Glorious laundry is caught up. Yeah! That in and of itself is a humongous accomplishment. And now my floors are sparkly. Not sparkling, spark-ly! Paisley got into my glitter--purple fine glitter. It's all over my kitchen floor, down the hallway, and who knows where else. I cleaned up most of it. But frankly, it kindof brings a grin to my face when out of the corner of my eye I see sparkles. Who doesn't like sparkles?

So, here's the deal. In exactly 3 weeks I will be headed to Idaho. I am super dooper excited. Super dooper. The main reason for going: My niece is getting married! I can't believe it! Seriously. She's always been like a little sister to me, and I can't believe how grown up she is! Eek!
So, I decided that this is the perfecto oportunity-o to bring my children out and let them experience Idaho--their cousins, and where I grew up! They have yet to see the mountains, and I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when we fly into SLC!

The plan: I will be in Pocatello to start out with. We will then spend a week down in Utah until Lindsay get's married. And then go back up to Idaho for the last few days until I fly back home. And guess what? My little niece will be flying back with me to spend the rest of the summer with us!

I can't wait for our trip. Any suggestions on how to occupy my 3 little kiddo's for the plane ride? We fly out really EARLY in the morning....and it will be a long day. So, what do you suggest?

Only three weeks! Yeah! ♥♥♥

Last night, we had just gone to sleep. I was actually dreaming a good dream...and we hear Preston SCREAMING. Very odd, considering he's never done that before. Anyhoo, Ben goes to see what's wrong. He had thrown up all over the bed. We changed the sheets, get him washed up, put new sheets on the bed, tuck him in, go back to sleep. About 5 minutes later, he starts screaming again. Hum. We need a better system. We made Preston a bed on the love seat, Ben a bed on the couch, and I headed back to our bed. I am SO thankful that my husband took care of Pres last night. Makes for a much happier Mom in the morning. {Ben works today} Apparently Preston was sick up until about 3am, when they both finally fell asleep. This morning, Pres is feeling much better. Thank goodness. And I think we will take it easy and I will clean.

My goof y boy. Last summer. Look at all that hair!

i need

* a swimsuit
* new shoes
* a tan
* someone to pack up my luggage for me and 3 kids
* a camera

Holy cow. I just realized I DON'T HAVE A CAMERA! Okay, I didn't just realize I don't have a camera.
I've known it for a while. It just hit me. And, you all should know that I don't have one, otherwise why the heck would I stop blogging, right? It's kinda annoying.
So, answer me this. How am I going to be able to go to Idaho for 2 weeks, show my 3 children the mountains and Chesterfield, and horses, and cows and fresh air--if I don't have a camera? I need to think fast--because I only have 1 MONTH! {How exciting, right? We will be in Idaho in ONE MONTH! So, all you Idaho Peeps--I want to hang out with you. And, I need someone to volunteer their horses so my children can see {maybe even ride} them. Thanks, you are the best!}

And since traditionally when I don't have access to a camera, I just post OLD pictures. Here you go, so OLD pictures. These are from when the boys went to the Monster Truck Rally
