The snow was PERFECT.

Pretty much the biggest snowman in Hampton Roads! Beat that!

The boys LOVED the snow. And I will admit, I enjoyed it too. I absolutely hate being cold, but being bundled up made it so much fun! Yeah to a couple of snow days! With everything shut down, including church, it's kinda nice to take it easy!

hello, warm weather!

The weather warmed up a bit this week, and I got a glimpse into what it will be like in a month {hopefully}. It was so nice to just send the boys outside to play. I realized that the reason my kids have been driving me crazy so much lately, is because we have been cooped up in the house, and have forgotten what it is like to burn off energy and not be in each others hair ALL DAY LONG!. But, being able to send the boys outside was such a blessing....I got some of my sanity back. Well, until the weather turned cold again! Oh well, it is January, right?


We headed to the zoo yesterday. The sun was shining, and it was about 50 degrees...with the wind being a bit chilly, but it felt SO good to get out of the house. The boys are at the age where they are finally enjoying the animals at the zoo. Mostly.

Paisley's an easy going kind of girl, but she does not, I repeat, does not like having her picture taken. Here is her "I'm not amused, Mom" look.

Parker was finally being a ham in front of the camera. Thank goodness. He has a lot of goofy faces, but today....just plain handsome!

I finally brought quarters so we could get the goat food...and they had taken out the little machines. What a rip off! What are the goats supposed to eat now? Oh well, they boys like petting them anyway.

Parker's 4th Birthday Dinner Extravaganza

Starring: Parker, the birthday boy
Co-Starring: Preston, who doesn't realize that it's Parker's birthday, and not his own, but doesn't care either way. And Paisley.

Producer: Ben. Because we couldn't do anything without him!

Synopsis:

A very special boy turns four years old and celebrates with family and friends. They enjoy a dinner of Chicken Spaghetti and french bread. Also on the menu is a delicious punch, that everybody is skeptical about trying, but in the end loves it! We sing happy birthday. Parker blows out the candles. We enjoy birthday cake made by Mamaw. Parker opens presents with the help of his two co-stars. The kids play. They get tired. Party guests leave. Exhausted children still need baths. Tantrums ensue. 2 hours later, children fall asleep. Exhausted parents soon follow.
