baby paisley

We are alive and well. Kinda busy.....with three kids! Church was crazy today. :) I don't know how mom did it!

Here are a couple photos of Paisley. Matt took these last Sunday. I am still trying to decide which picture to send out with our Christmas cards. And I want it to be a surprise, so it will be different than ones you might see here! :)

i'm on a new crash diet!!!

I've lost 25 lbs in 2 weeks! :) Oh, wait a minute, I guess that's just because I just had a baby! :) Oh well. I'm feeling good. So good, that I was able to pull together this book for my sister. It took me yesterday to do it, and it was in the mail to the recipient this morning. Jill had asked me to make a baptism book for her friends daughter. I have been putting it off for let's say, 2 months. I am such a procrastinator! The baptism is on Sunday! :)
Since Jill won't see it before then, I thought I would post pictures so she would know what gift she was giving.

Well, I need to go pack. We will be spending the night at Ben's parents house tonight. I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving! :)

Twilight :)

So, it appears that all my friends have posted about Twilight. I don't want to be left out! :) And....we pretty much have the same picture!

It was a lot of fun going out last night. Well, until I got the phone call when the credits started rolling that Paisley had been crying since 8:30pm. *The movie started at 8[m. She had guzzled the bottle I had left for her around 8pm, and still wanted more. I was completely stressed out trying to leave the theater...so I apologize to those of you who were there! I wish we could've stayed and talked about the movie more....taken some pictures....but I wanted to get outta there. Poor Paisley! Which, when I got home 5 minutes later, she was not completely suffering, but my heart felt so bad for her!

On a different note, Paisley had been awake since 8pm, didn't go to sleep till 11pm....and slept until 5:30!!! And, the reason why she woke up at 5:30, was because I woke up and touched her to make sure she was still breathing! I can't believe she slept through the night. I know it won't last, but it was kinda crazy! She really is a sleeper...so far. I haven't even taken any pain meds today! So, those should be out of her system soon.

How could you not sleep when you are bundled up like this? I really need some good pictures of her...but she is always swaddled! :)

Here are some photos of when Parker went into surgery. What a cutie, huh?

And, let's not leave Preston out.

Don't my kids look amazingly cute? It's like I gave birth to a family of Cullens! :)

one week!!!

I honestly can't believe it's been a week since I had a baby! Time is going by so fast! :) I don't know if that is a good thing, or a bad thing.
After yesterday, we have no more stress! Why, you ask? Everything has calmed down. Nothing is on my calendar (except the Twilight movie tomorrow night), and I like that feeling. Yesterday Parker had his surgery. It went very well. Ben and Benji took him. For a recap of what had to happen: The dentist went up through his tooth to the gum, extracted the infection that was in there, put a paste in it, and sealed up the tooth. He was back to his normal self that afternoon. See, there was no reason for me to stress out, right?

Can I just say how excited I am for the Twilight movie tomorrow night? If I hadn't just had a baby, I SO would have been there tonight at midnight! Oh well. Tonight me and my friends will be making some t-shirts to wear tomorrow night. I'll post photos later! :)

I had Matt come over for a "maternity photo shoot" a couple of weeks ago. I figured I should have some pictures of me being prego. Well, here they are. He did such an awesome job! :)

We're home, and alive!

I can't believe we are home from the hospital, and it's almost been a week since we had Paisley!
So, as you know, we named her Paisley Minette. It was hard to think of a name. Do we name her a "P" name or not? But, like Parker and Preston, it was a name we could both agree on. I also wanted to keep with family names. Parker's middle name is Benjamin. That is Ben's middle name. (His first name is Claston.) Preston's middle name is Joseph. That is my dad's name. And Paisley's middle name, Minette, was my great grandmother's name.

Everything was perfect with the delivery. Except the fact that I had to drink this nasty drink to to settle my stomach before surgery. I was hoping I wouldn't have to take it. (If that is the WORST thing about having a baby, then I think I am doing pretty good!) Ben actually captured me drinking it on video, but, I will not be posting it. (A) It is is rather embarrassing. and (B) it took me FOREVER to drink it. Probably about 10 minutes to get the nerve to drink it down. It's only about a shot glass full, but is extremely foul tasting. Anyway, too much information.
I'm not sure if you want to see Paisley being born or not, but for those of you who do, here it is! :) Don't worry, it's not graphic. You get to see more of my face than anything. I just really wanted to have on video her first cries. And as you can hear, there weren't very many. She sounded like a little duck! :)

Here's Paisley sleeping peacefully. That is how my baby is. She only nursed maybe 4 times for the first 24 hours. She wouldn't wake up! She is now nursing about every 3-4 hours. And then goes right back to sleep!
She is SO tiny! Here are her hands and her feet:

This was her going home outfit:

Do I look like I've been in the hospital for 3 days? I was ready to go home and get some rest!

Parker and Preston, for the most part, are doing so good with her. They love their baby sister, and are constantly giving her kisses. Parker wanted to take a picture of her:
We gave her her first bath this afternoon. Her hair was getting pretty greasy. Once we washed it, it kinda dried all spiky! She is such a doll!

Can I just say how hard it is to take newborn pictures? They always scrunch their noses and close their eyes for the pictures! :)

Paisley is such a blessing! She is a sweetheart. So far she is a good sleeper. And she seems pretty content.

i had a baby! :)

Here are some more pictures of the baby. Pam has done an excellent job posting, thank you Pam! :) It's about 10 am. Paisley is down in the nursery. She's been sleeping since 6 am. She's a sleeper...so far! She really won't even wake up for me to nurse her! But, after being reassured by the nurses, that is okay.
Well, Paisley just got brought in, so it is lunch time for her!

More later.

This is it!

The last time I will not be able to see my toes:

The last time I will have heartburn!

The last time I will have a huge belly!

Can it really be over so soon?
I'm not sure if I am ready. But, I don't really have a choice, now do I? I have to be at the hospital tomorrow morning at 5:30 am. The c-section will be about 7:30 am. Holy cow!

My sister Pam will be there taking some pictures for me. So, you need to check her blog if you want to see the baby! (She better be posting!)

Wish me luck. And keep us in your prayers that everything will be okay!
I should be home either Saturday or Sunday...we'll see how everything goes. I might enjoy the stay at the hospital and not want to leave!! :)

My little boy

is not going to be so little any more! In just 2 days, he is going to seem so grown up, and I am not sure if I am ready for that.
People have asked me if he is talking yet. Well, that is a yes and a no. His vocabulary is getting bigger...but here is what it consists of:

Me: Preston, what does a puppy dog say?
Preston: Woof, woof
Me: What does a duck say?
Preston: Quack, quack (and it really sounds like a duck, too!)
Me: What does a airplane say?
Preston: shhhoooorrrrsshhh (Or however an airplane sounds)
Me: What does a cow say?
Preston: oommmm (Moo backwards)
Me: What does a firetruck say?
Preston: (makes firetruck sound)
Me: Say "Fish"
Preston: Ish
Me: What does a chicken say?
Preston: Bock, bock
Me: Say Papaw
Preston: Pa
Me: Say Daddy
Preston: Da

And, he will do the sign language for "more," "drink," and "help."
Pretty much, I am relaying this to you, so I can have it written down somewhere. I keep forgetting, (I wonder why) and with everything going on, at least you and I will benefit from my ravings! :)

Raise your hand

if you had to wait in line for 1 and 1/2 hours to vote today! (Ooo...pick me! Pick me!) 90 minutes...in line! A pregnant woman, waiting in line for 90 minutes. Okay, it wasn't that bad. It could have been worse, like 8 hours. Can you believe people waited in line that long in Chesapeake? They needed to have vendors selling food! Hot dogs? Popcorn? Bottled water anyone?
This is SO not Bancroft, Idaho! Has there EVER been a line there? Humm...

Anyway, other news of importance? Baby girl is sitting on my bladder! Every time I stand up, there she is, making me rush to the restroom only to find that I really don't have to pee! I guess I can handle it...just a little bit over a week to go. Kinda scary that I could actually go into labor at any time now!

Mom called me yesterday! (Yes, I am going to gloat!) I was telling her that I couldn't believe that the last time she was here, Parker was the same age as Preston is right now! I thought Parker was such a big boy. But...looking back on pictures, he was still a little baby! Here are my two babies....
And now, I will have THREE! (I think I keep repeating myself!) And, Mom, I really do wish you were here! I miss sharing this special time with you.

Parker is a good singer! :)

Parker learned a new song in Nursery. I can't believe how big he is getting! I remember when my nephew was singing this song, and now...my little boy is singing it too! :)
