M.I.B.

Men in Black?

Here is my future missionary. He loves wearing his suit to church. And he loves to wear his missionary tag.

Me: Parker, do you want to be a missionary?

Parker: When I get big.

Me: What will you do when you are a missionary?

Parker: Ride a bike. Wear a backpack!

Guess who went to nursery for 2 hours yesterday? That's right! Preston! When I went to drop Parker off, Preston ran right in. I thought I would leave him in there for a little bit while I got things done for Primary. Each time I went to check back, I was told he was doing great. So, I just left him in there the whole time. :) Hopefully he'll keep it up, and the transition won't be a problem at all!

And let me say, "THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR KIND WORDS!" You guys really are the best! I really don't like to complain about the things I am faced with. Maybe because they really don't seem that major. But, knowing how much each of you care about me has really helped me these past couple of days. So, thank you! And...I will make it through. I'll try not to stress!I set the date for Parker's surgery on the 19th of November. I actually go to the dentist tomorrow to fill out paperwork, and hopefully find out all the details. I'll keep ya'll posted!

Might be a lot of rambling....

but, I really haven't let you guys know what's been going on lately. Here we go:

(1) As you know, I have 19 days, well, pretty much 18 days until I will have my c-section. I know I keep saying it, but time is going by too fast. You know what they say about watching a pot of water boil? I was hoping by having a countdown on the calendar, it would make time slow down a little bit, let me catch my breath, and allow me a little bit more time until the baby is born. So not the case! It's like the calendar is laughing in my face. The closer I get to the date, the more and more I feel like I'm not ready to handle 3 kids. I try not to be stressed out, but how can I not be? Physically I am ready to have the baby. Mentally, I am not.
(2) Like I said, we are ready to have this baby. We have everything we need. About a month ago, our crib was recalled. I was excited to get a new crib. We got a voucher in the mail for $241, and we headed off to BabiesR'Us last week to get a new crib. Who would have thought that it would be so difficult? Our nursery is very tiny. Painted pink. And our crib and other furniture is white. Piece of cake getting a white crib, right? Nope! They don't make white cribs anymore! Are you kidding me? We had the options of 2 crappy cribs made by Graco. A convertible crib that Ben didn't' like. Or, there was one white crib on back order. They didn't have any in the warehouse...and whenever they would get them in there, it would take an additional 2 weeks to get it to the store. So, who knows how long it would take. What do we do? We bought a black crib. Completely changes the look of the nursery. But left me completely stressed yesterday. We moved our little bookcase that we just bought from Ikea to go by our front door into the nursery. So, now it does look better. But now we have a white bookcase by our front door that doesn't quite fit. Hummm...
(3) Long story: In July, while Peggy was here, we went to the water park. The one minute I wasn't watching the boys, (I was trying to relax by the pool, go figure!) Parker slipped and fell and hurt his mouth. (I do NOT blame Emily and Maura...who were keeping an eye on him!) His mouth swelled up so bad that his lip was even with the tip of his nose. Think Bart Simpson! Honestly, I didn't take any pictures because he didn't look like my son! Anyway, he didn't complain about his teeth hurting, so we didn't do anything about it. About a month ago, his front tooth started to turn grey. I figured it was time to take him to the dentist. We went to the Pediatric dentist, and were told he need to have work done. He has to have a baby tooth root canal. We have been waiting on Insurance to give us an estimate, and also to set a date for his surgery. He has to go completely under anesthesia for it. The dentist called yesterday. It is going to cost about $750 out of pocket. The two dates available will be November 17th, or November 19th. Umm.....I'm having a baby on the 13th! I think the main thing worrying me, is (a) my little boy is going to have surgery, and (b) I won't really be able to help him and be there with him because I will have just had a baby. Talk about, STRESS!
(4) My boys have decided that they don't need to go to sleep at night. Up until last week, I would lay Preston down at 7pm, he would fall asleep, and by 8pm when I would lay Parker down, the room would be quiet so Parker could fall asleep. Not the case any more! Preston will stay away until Parker goes in there. Before, sometimes it would happen and they would just talk. Now, Parker will get out of bed. He'll jump on is bed. Play in the curtains. They laugh and play. It's not play time! A few minutes ago, I went and put Parker in my bed to sleep. Preston is still talking in the room. I don't know what to do! I really don't want Parker getting used to sleeping in my room. But, they can't be playing until 9pm. They wake up at the same time in the morning, regardless of the time they go to bed. And then they are both cranky. Humm....maybe I will move Preston's crib in the nursery. I think it will fit on one of the walls. That way, he isn't sleeping in the baby's crib, and he is in another room. Do you think he can get the idea of going to sleep means going to sleep in 3 weeks? I hope so!

Alright. Thanks for letting me ramble. It just seems like everything is happening at once. My life that I had in complete control is starting to fall apart, and I don't know how to pick up the pieces.

Well, on a good note, here are some pictures of the boys.

Mr. Cool Guys

I think my boys think that they are so "Mr. Cool." I mean, come on, they do look pretty cool, don't they?

I only have a few minutes to blog, I need to go hop in the shower and start my day. Hopefully I'll post this evening after the boys have gone to bed. There has been a lot going on. I've been kinda overwhelmed...and starting to feel anxious for the upcoming birth. It's only 19 days away!

hAirCutS!!

The boys were in need of haircuts. Well, Preston was in need of a haircut. Parker's hair was finally growing out after his hair pretty much got shaved in September. We go to the same barbershop that Ben been has gone to since he was little.

Parker is really good about sitting still. It's Preston who is so squirmy! But, check out this video, and see how well he did! :)

It's all about the suckers. I never give them suckers, so it is a special treat when they get a haircut. I'm so sneaky! :)

Happy Birthday, Emily! :)

One great thing about having a blog: I can have Parker singing Happy Birthday to his aunt who lives in Utah! :)
We hope you have an awesome birthday, Emily! We miss you! And, like Parker said, we can't wait to see you at Christmas!

All I can say is, "Thank goodness for Grandma's flowered chair." Once again, we don't have a computer chair, and me being this far along in my pregnancy, my bottom wouldn't allow me to sit here at the computer and blog. And, right now, I am feeling a little long winded, so bear with me with this long post! :) And Grandma's flowered chair? Well, it is pulled up to the computer desk so I can have a semi-comfy place to sit!

It's been an overwhelming week! I'm not sure where I want to begin.

Yesterday afternoon we went to the park so Ben could take to boys fishing. It wasn't until I was ready to leave that the boys got into it and really enjoyed catching fish. Preston especially. He would just laugh and laugh and laugh.
Okay, so I took a lot of pictures. I LOVE pictures! I wish I knew more about taking pictures so they would turn out better. Oh well! :) But, I also got video. Ben was excited to get it on film Preston catching a fish, since we already have Parker catching one when we went to the mountains.

Aren't my boys just the cutest:

After spending time at the park, it was too late to go home and make pizza, so Ben suggested we go to Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Can I just say, "Yummo!" (10 points if you know who says that!) We haven't been there since Parker was a little baby. And, it's probably a good thing. Greasy burger and fries, not quite the healthiest choice of food. But, oh wow, it is so good. On yesterday's menu:
That's right. The potatoes are from Idaho. Only the best! Actually......

Look closely to see where these taters are from! (From the look on Parker's face, it appears he was confused as to why I wanted him to take a picture by the potatoes!)
Their burgers are amazingly perfect, and the french fries....the only thing that could make them better is some fry sauce. The cup of fries is over flowing....plenty for a family of 4, and it's a small order. Can't beat Idaho potatoes. :)
Alright, so I was extremely camera happy. Doesn't it make it more fun?

And now, for some other news:

I set my c-section date. So, now I know when our baby girl will arrive! (Unless she decides to come early. I sure hope not, I am now realizing how much time I DON'T have until she comes!)

The date is November 13th. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am, and the surgery will be at 7:30am. For those of you who don't know, I had an emergency c-section with Parker, and so now each birth will be a planned c-section. I don't mind, I know what to expect. And frankly, giving birth still kinda terrifies me. (I think because I haven't had to go through it yet!)
So, just for the record, I have 34 days to go! EEK! :)

Eek! It's 11:30. I should be in bed!
