I'm gonna try to be better! :)

I got an e-mail from Mom today, and she said she checks my blog everyday. So, I figured I should try to post pictures every day. That way she can watch the boys grow up. Because, they seem to be doing that very well!
I tried to take pictures of the boys, they were looking pretty dang cute. Preston was cooperating, but Parker on the other hand, would not let me take his picture! I got them both on the couch, and Preston thought he was "oh so big" being able to climb back and forth between the two arms. I got this quick snap shot of the them both.

Our Song....

So, apparently, our family has a "song." We sing it after dinner every night, and we dance. Enjoy:

Call us crazy, cause we kinda are! :)

Things I am grateful for...

I have just been thinking about some things that I am really grateful for, at this exact moment in time. I always seem to forget all my blessings I have, so hopefully, just writing them down, I can remember that today was a good day, and I am very blessed.
1. Parker is taking a nap. Without me. (Okay, with his dad, but at least I didn't have to fight that battle!)
2. Ben is home for 4 days! Yeah! This last work rotation went by really fast!
3. It is almost spring time. "Our" tree is in bloom. When we first bought our house, we planted this tree. He was such a little guy at the time. (Yes, he even has a name. Clevey. He's a cleveland pear tree.) Look how big he has grown!4. I mailed off all the dvd's today. Very thankful for that. Now I can share it with all my siblings. I hope you all enjoy it!
5. Parker went "pee-pee" in the potty not once, but TWICE! Yeah!
6. I get to look at this little guy everyday. He's been sick. We took him to the doctor yesterday, and he has an ear infection. With some medicine, he is doing much better, and I am sleeping more at night. :) Even with pretzels all over his face, he is so dang cute! I am grateful he is feeling much better. And I am especially grateful he can entertain himself while I writing this blog.
7. Last week I did one scrapbooking page. Just one. But I am very proud of it. I "scraplift" a lot. I look at other people's pages, and then I get inspired, and then make it my own. This page was entirely MY idea. I didn't copy anything from any one else! Yeah!

8. I am grateful I can wear earrings again! It's been a LONG time since I have attempted any earrings. (I almost think I wore some on Mother's Day last year!) My sister-in-law got me these for Easter, and I love love love them!

I know I should be thankful for all my blessings. Even the small things that make me happy. :)

Happy Easter....

I know, I know. I am a little late! I meant to post this yesterday, but well, it was Easter, and I didn't have time. :) These are my boys, all grown up. I normally don't like the pictures taken at the mall with the Easter bunny/Santa Clause. But, this Bunny was pretty cute. And the boys did really well. If you ask Parker, he will say, "Sit..Easter Bunny's..lap....today....say...thank you." Yes, Parker. You sat on the Easter bunny's lap and then you said thank you! Way too cute. I need to get pictures of the boys in their Easter outfits. Matt....you need to come over and help me out with that! (Hint Hint!)
I hope you all had a very happy Easter!

March 19th

That day will be forever etched into my memory, as it will for the rest of my family members. Yesterday was March 19th, and I didn't get around to posting. Maybe it was on purpose. Maybe I really didn't want to remember the significance of the day. Maybe I couldn't believe it has been one whole year since my father passed away. They say you need to go through a year of firsts. First Father's day. First Halloween. First Thanksgiving. First Birthday. First Christmas. First of everything. I guess we have made it exactly a year of firsts. Even the first anniversary. I really miss my Dad. It is hard to think that I can't pick up the phone and here him say, "Well, Hello! What's going on?" I miss him teaching me things. "Well, you might just learn something." I am sad that my children won't know him. I always wanted to have kids early that way they would know their grandparents, unlike me. It's up to me to keep him with us everyday. To tell stories about him. To talk about him to Parker and Preston. To keep him alive. Because, I know that I will see him again. I love you and miss you, Dad!

My dad was a really good dad. And I really miss him.

P.S. To all my siblings. I do have a DVD for you. I am sorry I haven't gotton it out sooner. But I promise, I will get it in the mail. :)

It's about time

for a new blog. But, the problem is, I don't really have anything to blog! Plus, tonight is scrapbooking, and I really shouldn't be blogging, but scrapping instead.

But here are some pictures......

My father-in-law seems to think that Preston looks like the fish he caught the other day!
Silly, Papaw! :)

Why can't my children

go to bed? Preston is screaming in his crib. Parker has gotton up once already! Is it that they had so much fun with me today, that they don't want the fun day to end?

Yeah, probably! :)

This picture of Parker shows off his new haircut. Well, sort of.
He pretty much, almost, got a buzz cut! Not quite what I wanted.
But, he is lookin' pretty dang handsome!

I CANNOT believe how grownup Preston looks in this picture.
He is growing up so fast! :)

Busy Busy Weekend!

And I didn't even go to church today! Preston had a really really rough night last night. I am assuming it is because he has some very stubborn teeth that don't want to poke through yet, and they are causing him a lot of pain. Plus, he woke up this morning with a really weird rash on his face, so I took precautions and kept him home today.

Rewind....
Friday I signed up to bring a meal over to a sister in our ward. She had a baby boy last week, and you know how it is when you have a baby. It is so nice not having to worry about cooking! Her baby boy was so adorable. So tiny. I wish mine stayed tiny, so I could actually enjoy it. :) I brought over a little gift....I've been feeling a little "crafty" lately. This is what I came up with:

Something small, just a onsie that I transfered writing on. It reminded me of dad always saying, "I was HANDSOME!

I then had a baby shower to attend. It was a lot of fun getting out of the house, on a friday night, without and men or boys around! :) Pam and Matt came and babysat. (thank you thank you thank you!) I, once again, was feeling crafty with my gifts, and I made this:

The husband is in the Army, stationed in Iraq, and won't be back until the baby is over 1 year old! (Except for a few weeks of R&R in September!) Hence--My daddy wears combat boots.
The yellow flower is a newborn headband, and of course, I gave her the big flower headband that Preston was flaunting the other day.

Saturday was Grandma Dot's 75th Birthday. We had a really nice, yummy, dinner for her. I guess I should say Donna and Benji had the dinner, we just showed up and ate it! I did make a DVD for her. That was my contribution. We spent the night out there so we could watch the UNC-Duke game. Go UNC!! :)

Quite enough ramblings for now. I'll leave you with some cute pictures of Preston:

Can anyone guess

what I'll be doing today??

I really have no clue how we can dirty so much laundry.....in less than a week! If I don't do 2 loads a day, this is what happens! It blows up!

I guess I gotta pay the fiddler....

I'm such a mean mom!!!

Ben said he would kill me if I posted these pictures. But........

1. It's not my fault I don't have any girls.

2. I can't help it that Preston is so stinkin' adorable, and would make a really cute girl.

3. Preston was hammng it up for the camera.

4. I don't have any girls to model the headband I just made! :)

5. Who said boys can't wear headbands? ......only kidding.

I made some flower headbands for a babyshower I am going to this week. They turned out way way cute! Man, I wish I had a girl so I could make all these cute things for her.

Oh, and on a side note....this headband cost me $2.16 to make! I've seen them online for $18!!!! :)

A good day.....

As much as my boys "drive me crazy" ....I absolutely LOVE them to pieces!

Parker loves being outside. Ben was home on Saturday, and it was fairly warm outside, so Parker and Ben headed outside to play. For HOURS! Well, it felt like hours to me. When Parker is inside, he follows me around EVERYWHERE! Ask Pam, I'm not joking! Well, I guess when she is here, he follows HER around everywhere. :) So any time by myself feels like a LONG time.

Today was a good day. Preston had his 9 month check up. He is "above normal." I don't think Dr. Fenderson would say anything less than that! :) He is such an awesome doctor. He has been Ben's doctor since well, the delivery room! :) Preston had one shot, and the only side effect has been a major blow-out...on my rug....in the living room. By the way, Pam, thanks for helping me clean it up! I THINK it is all out. Yucky, yuck yuck. Preston has been in a good mood since then!! He is starting to talk.......

Both my boys make me so happy! I am so thankful for both of them. Even on the bad days. But especially on the good days. :)
