Seriously. Major apology for the last post. After I reread it, I realized I didn't really want to read it, so why would you, right? I was intending to write more, then got sidetracked, which NEVER happens, right?
What a day. A rainy rainy not get much done but just a few things kind of day. Glorious laundry is caught up. Yeah! That in and of itself is a humongous accomplishment. And now my floors are sparkly. Not sparkling, spark-ly! Paisley got into my glitter--purple fine glitter. It's all over my kitchen floor, down the hallway, and who knows where else. I cleaned up most of it. But frankly, it kindof brings a grin to my face when out of the corner of my eye I see sparkles. Who doesn't like sparkles?
So, here's the deal. In exactly 3 weeks I will be headed to Idaho. I am super dooper excited. Super dooper. The main reason for going: My niece is getting married! I can't believe it! Seriously. She's always been like a little sister to me, and I can't believe how grown up she is! Eek!
So, I decided that this is the perfecto oportunity-o to bring my children out and let them experience Idaho--their cousins, and where I grew up! They have yet to see the mountains, and I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when we fly into SLC!
The plan: I will be in Pocatello to start out with. We will then spend a week down in Utah until Lindsay get's married. And then go back up to Idaho for the last few days until I fly back home. And guess what? My little niece will be flying back with me to spend the rest of the summer with us!
I can't wait for our trip. Any suggestions on how to occupy my 3 little kiddo's for the plane ride? We fly out really EARLY in the morning....and it will be a long day. So, what do you suggest?
Only three weeks! Yeah! ♥♥♥
I say let them use permanent markers and all of the old baby rattles you have laying around...oh wait, you want to have a good trip...ummmm, I'll get back to you on that.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a fun trip ahead of you! We have been doing a lot of plane rides lately, and I thought I share what has worked and not worked for us. I buy some special snacks, something they don't normally get and maybe a new book or toy that is exciting. Then I hide them until the trip. So the first time they see it is on the plane. I would bring those invisible ink markers...no mess and no crayons or anything that can spill all over the floor. The other magical thing...portable DVD player and buy one new movie they haven't seen, and again hide it until the big day of your trip. Are you going by yourself with all three kids? I hope you have FUN!!!
