Vay-Cay Part 6

I really wanted Beth to experience all of Virginia Beach. I racked my brain trying to come up everything that I do here in Va Beach. We ran out of time!
I love sushi. And that was a MUST! I think Beth enjoyed it!

The aquarium. It was packed, but it was worth it! The boys loved it!

We had an impromptu water balloon fight. This is what summer is all about, right?

I always tell  Beth that I won’t even CONSIDER moving Pocatello unless they get a Chick-fil-A and Target and Old Navy. I don’t think she’s ever eaten at Chick-fil-A before. We went through the drive-thu, ate it at Mt. Trashmore, played for a bit, and then got into our cars right before it started pouring down rain! Then headed back to Chick-fil-A for some ice-cream! Yummo!

I’m pretty sure the same guy who carved this Indian carved one that they have in Idaho Falls. :)

I think this is IT for pictures. We had so much fun with Beth and her family. I hope she’ll plan more trips out here to Virginia. My boys had fun playing with their cousins. And I had fun hanging out with my sister……there are too many miles between Virginia and Idaho!

  1. You are so right! That IS the same guy that carved the Indian in IF. He carved a statue in each state :) (More than one in some.) I guess you're just lucky to live next to the Indian he carved in two different states! :) I am so glad you guys had an amazing vacation. I'm glad the weather cooperated for Beth and she was able to experience what VA Beach summers are like.

PS. The 4th is coming up, and I'm kinda bummed out. I always cooked for us when I lived in VA. That was my holiday. I'm pretty sure we have NOTHING planned this year (again). Matt gets off work at 7 am and works again at 11pm....so, maybe we'll get to watch some fireworks? Maybe? :)

  2. It was fun..and the pictures were great. There is waaaaay more to do in VA Beach than here, and you had a chance to do more than you've done before...like the waterfront. Maybe next time we can get the taffy factory in.
    Love ya, Beth

  3. So fun to hear about you and Beth's little vacation, Kate. What a great time, and great memories for the kiddos. Hanging out with sisters is the best!
