cupcakes and spiders

I love any excuse to make cupcakes. Today was my friend’s birthday, and I thought it was the perfect reason to whip up these bad boys! I hope they tasted as good as they looked. It’s really frustrating that I can’t taste them, and I have to take everybody’s word for it. I guess I need to make some dairy free cupcakes----I’m not sure they would turn out as good as these!
I was literally racing out the door and snapping the fastest picture that I could………this wasn’t the cutest cupcake in the bunch! But, I admit, it is pretty darn cute! While putting the chocolate ganache on top, and then the sprinkles, I couldn’t help but smile! I hope the “birthday” girl enjoyed them. {And the firemen who got the other 2 dozen!}
Once again, I used a recipe from Annie’s Eats.
Banana Split Cupcakes. Banana cupcake filled with fresh strawberries and crushed pineapple with cream cheese buttercream frosting with chocolate ganache with sprinkles and a cherry on top. How can you go wrong?

And, like I said, I was racing out the door because the boys were begging me to come check out a spider in the backyard. Seriously? They want me to get close enough to look at the spider, AND take a picture of it? I must love my children very much! :)

  3. Ok, that spider reminds me of the one that used to live in your carport, and we would go out the van's OTHER side to avoid it :) Can't believe you got that close! I'm sure you were zoomed in, right? But, it probably still freaked you out, huh :)

    Jealous of those cupcakes, btw. Oh, hey, you're going to be in CA right before my birthday, maybe I can con you into making some for us :b
