4th of July FUN

We had a fun day celebrating our country’s independence! The morning started out with a pancake breakfast with my in-law’s ward. Afterward there was a bike parade for the kids.
The boys were so EXCITED all week for the “bike festival.” I had to keep reminding them it was just a parade, not a festival. Nonetheless, they couldn’t wait for the big day!
We then headed to Ben’s cousin’s pool, which is right down the street, and swam all afternoon. We came back, got dressed and had dinner at Donna and Benji’s.
The fireworks were canceled due to a torrential downpour and thunderstorm, which we ended up driving through. Thank goodness we weren’t up on Mt. Trashmore staking out our spot---or paid $10 for parking, only to leave right before they were supposed to start!
It was also a super fun weekend—Marie and her granddaughter, Allie, came up to visit! I don’t know why  I didn’t take any pictures, but we had a lot of fun hanging out, eating great food, and letting the cousins play!
