I’m not even sure where to begin documenting these past two weeks. It was jam packed with tons of things {at least by my standards} and I took a million {okay, maybe 800} pictures. To say I am a little overwhelmed might be an understatement. But, it was super fun. I think the cousins really enjoyed themselves. And I’m all for a kid-less sister’s cruise in the future! Hint Hint!
Without further ado: A rundown of our first couple of days. Poetic style. Ahem.
Beth and her boys
flew from Idaho
they were all starving
so we ordered from C-Lo
We gave them all baths
and kissed them on their heads
and silently prayed
they would all go to bed.
Beth saw a waterbug
that gave her a fright
instead of killing it
we ran from the room
and decided it was time to say goodnight.
After church on Sunday
we ate a huge feast
of speared fish from the ocean
my oh my, what a tasty treat!
We drove to the beach house
in Nags Head, OBX
met up with our other sister
before they head for the West.{California}
Just two blocks away
the waves crashed on the sand
were we could play, boogie board,
and work on our tan.
Taking turns to cook dinner
we all ate like kings
except for the night Peggy was in charge
mushy crab just isn't my thing!!
Cape Hatteras lighthouse
we wanted to visit
you have to be a certain height
if you want to go in it!
Peggy watched the babies
as we climbed the steps
248 to the top
with quite a few rests!
Stay tuned for some more
of my made up little diddy
I know I've impressed you
since I am so witty
Here are some pictures
okay, quite a bit
at least you can see
what fun in 4 days we were able to fit!
{and this is ONLY the beginning! Stay tuned for more!}
very nice...looks like fun...
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all of your pictures!!! Beautiful! Looks like you had a LOT of fun!!!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I feel the SAME way at the end of the day. Please don't say you're feeling old...because I am, too...which means we are getting old. LOL!
This is Robin.....At least it will let me comment as anonymous!
ReplyDeleteLoved the pics. Super cute and fun!!!!
Kate, you're awesome. The pictures are fantastic. I know you are overwhelmed (I didn't live next to you for 6 years without getting to know you very well)but I know that you're glad you did it. :) I love the poem, too. You are so clever! Wish I could have been there! Looking forward to seeing you soon. Love, Pam.
