I have to admit, my Mother-in-law is the hardest person to shop for. {No offense, Donna!} She doesn’t need a lot of stuff, and if she does want something, she’ll go out and buy it. Which makes it really hard for Birthday’s, Mother’s Day, and Christmas!! What do you get someone who means the world to you, would give you the shirt off her back, and you could never in a million years repay?
Though nowhere near being close to “repaying” her, this year, I think we got her figured out. And, she loved it! Yeah!
We ordered from Deseret Book the Beehive Cake Pedestal. It is gorgeous! Who wouldn’t love having a great big Pollyanna cake sitting in the middle of that thing? And then, the boys picked out a plain glass jar from Target, and with a little vinyl lettering, we turned it into “Mamaw’s Sweet treats” Jar. {And look at those yummy snickerdoodles!}
I have been so blessed to have such a wonderful Mother-in-law. I wish there were more ways that I could show my appreciation, because there isn’t a day that doesn’t go by that I’m not grateful for all she does for our little family.
Very pretty! Good choice, Kate. And I think my clutch that Pam made me is same pattern as her runner... lol
ReplyDeleteLOve it!
ReplyDeletemarie--it IS the same pattern! how funny. i have the same clutch. :)
ReplyDeleteAhh! Kate and Gwen, you figured it out! Yep, that's the runner I used for material (PSST! I got mine on clearance, so it was super cheap, but super cute, too! And, I got tons of purses out of it since there's so much material! Way more than just using place mats... :)
ReplyDeleteKate,
ReplyDeleteIt was the perfect gift. I love it. Everytime I look at my Christmas gifts it puts a smile on my face and I count my blessings for your sweet family. I am so glad to be a part of your lives. Thanks for sharing so many special moments with us. We love you all.
