Did you know that you can catch a leprechaun? Well, apparently you can, but it’s pretty tricky! Leprechauns are sneaky. Very sneaky, you see. But we were going to attempt it.
Exhibit A:
The Trap.
The Leprechaun will be lured in by the smell of a Scentsy bar {Parker’s idea} and also by a “rainbow” {also Parker’s idea}. Because we all know that gold can be found at the end of a rainbow, and that is the #1 thing that all leprechauns want. Gold.

The Rainbow {Drawn by Parker}
Exhibit C
Looks like the leprechaun was too sneaky. He set off the trap, but somehow got away. In his hurry to get out of the trap, he left a trail of “gold” through the house before he snuck out the window.
Better luck next year! We’ll catch that leprechaun, that’s for sure!
FYI: Up until this year {okay, okay. Last week} I had never THOUGHT about doing anything else on St. Patty’s day besides wear green. I thought we could do something fun. The boys were super excited to set a “trap”. I just played it by ear, asking Parker what he thought a leprechaun trap would look like, what he thought would lure in a leprechaun, and so forth. I was awoken by the pitter patter of little feet coming to my room to tell me about the “gold chocolate” the leprechaun left.
It’s all about making memories!
hahah that is sooo cute! i love it. THey are gonna remember that for sure.

ReplyDeleteA friend of mine tells her kids that the leparachans come visit and do naughty things before the kids wake up, she swapped the furniture from the kitchen and living room, and she puts green food coloring in the milk, and toilet bowls, etc... So cute.
