They are predicting snow for Virginia Beach. The last time they predicted {a lot} of snow it went something like this:
Weather report @ 8 am
3-5 inches of snow predicted
Weather report @ 11 am
1-3 inches of snow predicted
Weather report @ 1 pm
light dusting to 1 in of snow predicted
Weather report @ 3 pm
0 inches to light dusting predicted
Weather report @ 5 pm
Sorry, no snow today, folks!
No joke! That is really how it happened. Like every two hours they would predict less and less snow. Now, keep in mind, the whole city is shut down because they predicted snow. School is canceled and kids have their noses pressed to the windows waiting for the first snow flake to fall. Where's the snow?
Right now on the radar it shows that it should be snowing out my window right now. Where's the snow?
Last night we told Parker it was going to snow. He got so excited. He wants to build a snow man. He keeps asking where the snow is. We told him it will be coming later.
Ben just left for the store to pick up some milk. He asked if Parker wants to go with him. Parker's reply....
"Are we going to the store to get snow sprinkles?"
"What are snow sprinkles, Parker?"
"Snow sprinkles....so we can have snow on the grass."
Ahhh haa, is that what we have been doing wrong? We just go and buy the snow sprinkles and sprinkle them outside...instant snow!
Hummmm....
Well I hope for you guys that you actually get snow. That would be really rare for Virginia Beach or even Chesapeake where my family lives. But it would be cool for you guys though. I will pray you get some or I will just send most of my snow there since we have over a foot on the ground for over a week now!! lol
ReplyDeletesounds like you guys need to make a quick trip to Chesterfield :)
ReplyDeleteso did it ever snow?
ReplyDeletewhen ben and parker went to the store, they the snow sprinkles were SOLD OUT!
ReplyDeleteso, we never got any snow. what a bummer!
(actually, the REAL reason: too much dry air blowing from the north. right when the storm system was over us, it just dried up! literally, if you watched the radar, it would disappear right when it reached us!)
oh well, maybe next time!
