Playing?

"What? I'm teaching him real fire rescue technique!"

"Alright, Parker, I'll give you a scenario, and what will you do?"

"Now you raise the fire ladder up, with the driver pump operator at the base of the ladder."

"Let's build this Lincoln Log cabin first, then well have a farm house that is on fire so we can put the fire out."

Parker received a fire station for his birthday. I have to say IT IS THE FIRST TOY HE HAS EVER PLAYED WITH! No joke! He never plays with toys! 3 minutes max--that is the longest he ever spends playing. The rest of the day is spent following me around the house! Sunday afternoon we let him play with the fire station, and he played non-stop for 3 hours! Monday morning he didn't even come and wake up before he got the toy out of his closet! He played with it all day long, too!

Oh, and the dialog at the beginning? That is from Ben teaching Parker how to "properly" play with the fire station! :)

  1. That is so great! A toy he'll play with...for hours! We've yet to find something like that for Tanner...someday!

    Loving the dialogue....so Man-ish...such a dad!
