Lineberry Homestead Part 1 (of many installments)

The much anticipated day has arrived! We finally started construction on our house. I have been absolutely terrible about blogging for the past 9 months, but hopefully I’ll try to keep this thing up to date, at least with our home building process. (For those of you who don’t see my posts on facebook and instagram!)

In typical Kate fashion, I have a picture overload. But by now, dear reader, should know that that is how I roll!

I will start from the beginning: June 2nd. After celebrating Preston’s birthday with ice cream cake and opening presents, we walked over to our property and had a ground breaking ceremony.

And yes, those ARE pink and turquoise shovels. Would you expect anything less??

The next morning, the excavators showed up bright and early to start excavating. First up? The footing!
