The thought of turning 30 was giving me anxiety, and I was missing my family terribly, so I talked Ben into letting me fly to Utah for the weekend to see my sisters, my brother, and attend Time Out for Women.
My flight got in around 8pm. I was greeted at the airport by my mom, Peggy, Beth, and MAURA! I was super excited they were wall there! We were starving so we went out to Kneaders for a late dinner, and then headed back to the hotel for SWIG cookies!
After talking for a few hours we decided to get some rest so we could function the next day. My stomach was feeling a little queasy, but I blamed it on flying all afternoon. Apparently it was the stomach bug, and I was up half the night sick! {The same bug ended up going through my entire family back at home!!} This is how I pretty much spent the entire night.
The next morning we got up {I was feeling a bit better but just extremely weak!} and we went out for pedicures. It ended up being the BEST pedicure we’ve ever had!
We went to PF Chang’s for lunch. I ended up just eating a half of a cup of soup! {Not the way I wanted to spend my girls’ weekend!!!}
Day 2: I was feeling much better! We had to wake up bright and early to get to the conference in time. The speakers were amazing! It was so much fun to do this with my sisters and my mom and niece! These women inspire me so much!
Day 3: Matt and Brittany and Genevieve came down to visit! I was so excited to snuggle my little niece! We were able to visit before Beth and Peggy headed out. We then went to temple square and walked around, went to This is the Place monument, and then it was time to leave!
Dude...I didn't realize how much we all have the same smile lines. Pretty cool!
