Learning and Growing

I know I worked more with Parker to learn his alphabet and their sounds. I know I spent more one on one time with him. I know I have “slacked” in that department with Preston. But, I also know, that some where along the way, Preston has picked up on a lot. He loves to learn, maybe even more than Parker. {I didn’t think that was possible! Parker is a sponge when it comes to learning!}. Preston loves to color. Give the kid a coloring book and he will color in the lines…for hours! Preston is learning to write his name. {One of the things that is needed for Kindergarten!} Annndd…I’m starting to teach him how to read. He read his first “story” the other day. {Thanks, Pam. Hooked on Phonics is getting used here at the Lineberry house!} I love this little guy. He is pretty dang smart!

In other news, we just ended our Story time at the library. It’s been fun, and I’m sure we’ll sign up for the next session. The kids loved learning songs and hearing stories. But their favorite part is when it’s done and they can go pick out non-fiction books from downstairs. {They skip the children’s section entirely!} They love them some fighter jet books, animal books, and tank books!

Okay. So check out the above picture. Zoom in on my hair. Can you say….split ends? Can you say…..you need a hair cut? Can you say…..it’s been since July since you had your hair cut? Seriously? They should lock me up for having hair like that! No joke!

So…here is the “before” picture.

I FINALLY had a hair appointment. I found my hair stylist {he had moved to a new salon, and I had erased his message with his contact info….and I put off having to schedule one! Lame, I know.}

And, here is the “after”. I put my full trust in him. I told him I wasn’t sure if I wanted to just “chop” it all off…..or try to grow it out. Since there was so much damage, a lot did come off. But it feels SO healthy now!

So, I just took this picture. I’m waiting to head to the gym…hence the reason I’m wearing workout clothes. And I thought, as I was taking this picture, I bet you want to see my muscles. You do, don’t you? Bwahahaha. And, since I’m bored, I’ll show you any way! :)

Okay. That’s too much of me. Sorry. Now, I will go to the gym and run. Because I have to. You know, gotta train for that 1/2 marathon. Fun. :)
