yummy yummy strawberries. it’s okay, you can be jealous!

Guess who’s ready to go pick strawberries?

You got it…..this girl!

It’s always a BIG deal when we pick the first strawberries of the year….and it’s even a BIGGER deal when it’s your first time! We needed to make sure Parleigh was decked out in her strawberry-picking ensemble!

Most of the strawberry fields were picked out, but thankfully the farthest one out in the country wasn’t. And they had lots and lots of strawberries. Give it another week, and they will be over flowing! The berries just weren’t quite “red” enough, but they will be with a few more sunny/hot days!

But who’s the biggest pro who taught us? Mamaw!

We always tease that they need to weigh us before we start picking and then again at the end because we eat so many strawberries before we pay. I wonder who we learned that from!

 

 

First time strawberry picking……you would have thought I would have tried better to contain her Mohawk!

I don’t think so, Papaw!! No strawberries until she gets her I-Teeth!!
