Ben's been off work since October 27th. A nice family vacation would have been nice during this time. Maybe Disney World. Maybe a Sandals Resort. {You know you see those commercials and think, man, that would be sweet!}
But no, no family vacations for us. It's deer season. 90% of all this time off has been spent in the woods up in a tree stand. I will admit, I was able to convince him to spend some time at home. {Sneaky, I know.} And, if he wasn't in the woods, he was out in the boat catching fish.
He goes back to work tomorrow.....and all day yesterday I kept praying {please, please, please, get a deer!} Well, my prayers were answered.

*When this picture was taken, I had fed the kids, bathed them, and just gotten them dressed. Their hair was still wet, no socks or shoes on, and Ben drives up. The boys run outside to go see the "big buck". They were so excited. Then again, Preston comes back inside and says, "Mom, that deer's antlers are really small."
LOL! That last comment cracks me up!!! Congrats, Ben. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteOH Ben.....I hate to break it to you, but those cute little boys are going to be hunting as well. We have many family pictures of Ben with that same silly grin on his face holding up a deer head. Get ready!

ReplyDeletehahaha oh my word your family makes me laugh so much. You are a good woman to put up with all that hunting and fishing all the time! Those boys are hilarious hahah I like how the deers tongue is totally hanging out of the side of its mouth. that blog you linked to your last post totally made me cry. That is so horrible, I hope she can get past all of that pain. So thankful for the gospel! cant wait to see your little bun in the oven when she comes out!
