Even Mom needs a Time Out!

This last weekend I was able to get “away” and go to Time Out for Women in Richmond. It was so.much.fun!
Before I go any further, let me first say THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU to my Father-in-law, Benji, and also my husband. Ben had to work on Friday, so Benji came over and took care of the kids. All the kids. Parleigh included. {This was actually the first time I have left Parleigh over night! I had to pump milk for the last 2 weeks straight to make sure she had enough!}  Benji did awesome—played with them, ordered pizza, gave them baths, read them books. AMAZING! So, thank you!! In the morning, Ben came home and took over. When I got home that evening, the house was cleaned. Laundry done. Kids were in the bath. Dinner was ready. And the Missionaries were on their way over for dinner. So, not only did Ben hold down the fort, but he also didn’t stress that the missionaries were coming over! {Maybe I should go out of town more often!} I am so thankful for the {men} in my life! You guys ROCK!
We made it to Richmond in time to eat dinner and then head over to the Conference. Such a fun evening listening to Jason Wright and hearing Jenny Oaks Baker on the violin.

It was fun to hang out, eat junk, and stay up late. {Well, I could have done without the “staying up late” part. I needed more than 2 hours of sleep!}

Saturday was filled with even more speakers: Merrilee Boyack, Laurel Christensen, Brad Wilcox, Linda Eyre & Shawni Eyre Pothier, Miriama Kallon. And singers: Jericho Road.
What an uplifting experience. I am so glad I made the effort to go. It was awesome!

  3. I'm glad you had fun. I wish we could have done that when you came out here that one year...but I guess a wedding is a good excuse to not go.
