Now I'm Back!

Since I have been on "vacation" for the past 6 weeks (ie. the girls have been here) I think I am back to the blogging world. We shall see, I can't make any promises!
Today has been a crazy day! My in-laws took the boys last night so I could go to church and not have to worry about teaching my class and watching Preston. Ben has been off for the past 6 sundays, and the girls have been here the past 6 sundays, so today would have been the first day back after 6 weeks without ANY help at all. I am so grateful for the help that I do have from family. :)
Today I was released from my calling as Sunbeam teacher. I never thought I would be so sad about not teaching the Sunbeams. I mean, come on! Who really likes to teach 3 year olds? I have really grown to love each one of those children, and I really am going to miss them. But, just because I was released from one calling, doesn't mean I get to go back to Relief Society and have a break. Nope, not here in the Bayside Ward! :) I have been called to be the 1st councelor in the Primary Presidency. I really feel inadequate right now, and hope that I will do a good job.
Alright, enough of my babbling on! Here are some pictures of this summer. I really haven't taken as many as I had hoped, but, we have been too stinkin busy to remember a camera!

Peach picking @ Knott's Island, NC .......YUMMY!!

My beach baby:

I have NO belly shot's of me, but, I am excited about how DARK and how LONG my hair is getting! :)

Alright, I think I will go and enjoy the rest of my evening. Oh, I didn't say, Parker and Preston were supposed to come home this afternoon, but Preston got sick today, has been throwing up, and went to sleep around 6:30, before Donna could bring him home. So it looks like I'll be without kids for another night! .....I do miss them, though. Kinda bittersweet!

  1. Kate, wow, two nights in a row without the boys. And you didn't even call me! I would like to talk about Twilight. I finished up book 3 yesterday, and I want to talk to someone about it who's read it. Matt doesn't quite cut it. I think he should read it so we can talk.

  2. You'll be great in the presidency. I'm 2nd counselor in Primary right now and my favorite thing about it is just being with the children every Sunday...but maybe that's is weird...I'd love to teach nursery or sunbeams also so I think most people would consider me a nut.
Your boys are very handsome and those peaches look so yummy. I haven't made it to the beach yet this summer. I feel so pathetic. When we moved here three years ago I swore I would never not take advantage of having it so close...so I'm stunned that I haven't made it....I blame it on Megan, she was always willing to go anytime even though I had to tote children along and it wasn't as relaxing as a day at the beach could be. :)

  4. Hey Kate,
Thanks for accepting your calling. I am so excited to have you serving with me and I know you will do great, otherwise I wouldn't have asked! I know your Sunbeams will miss you, I had a hard time taking you from them, but I was selfish and thought I needed you more! See you Wednesday if you can make it! Love ya Debi
