Vay-cay Part 5

Seriously? Part 5? This must be the coolest vacation EVER!
We had a blast going to the waterpark. That is something they DON’T have in Idaho! Poor Beth, she almost brought “winter” clothes with her—she wasn’t ready for “summer” yet…..it snowed in Idaho the week  before she got here! I had to convince her that yes, it was indeed summertime!


I had to take Beth and the boys to Krispy Kreme. I forget how lucky we are to have one right down the street. Literally!
When the “Hot Doughnuts Now” sign is red, you better believe you can get them right out of the fryer! :) Nice and hot!

Blessing

I thought I would give you a break from all the vacation photos, although I am sure you are loving them. I attempted to take pictures of Parleigh in her blessing gown. Attempted is the key word here. I am 99.9% sure there is some scientific law that states that “when a Mom wants to actually get something done, all forces of nature will act against her.” From fighting children who, for the past hour, were contently playing in their room. To moaning stomachs begging for lunch. To baby who should be modeling her blessing gown but instead wants to put it in her mouth, or suck her thumb. Either way.

I thought this one was too funny to pass up! :)

Vay-cay Part 4

Have I posted enough about our vacation? I didn’t think so! Here it the 4th installment. And there will be many, many more to come!

And then on Wednesday…..we decided to go to Ben’s fire station, walk around Waterside in downtown Norfolk, and watch the sunset {all on the the same day!}


We headed to downtown Norfolk and walked along Waterside, something I have never done in my 10 years of living here. We took the ferry over to Portsmouth, and then drove some very tired children home! As if that wasn’t enough, a spur of the moment decision left us scrambling to our cars to load kids up so we could make it to the beach to watch the moon rise.
