Cleaning the car and flying kites

Although those two things might not sound like they have anything in common, they do. What, you ask? Well, the last time I did both of those {cleaned out my car and flew kites} was the last time that I blogged. Holy moly, it’s been a while!

In my defense, life is pretty boring, and also pretty crazy. Boringly crazy. Or crazily boring. Or just boring. And crazy.

Anyway, I am going to play a serious game of catch-up, because I feel super guilty for not updating my little journal I have here in cyberspace.

EASTER:

Ben’s grandfather passed away right before Easter, so with the celebration of the resurrection of our Savior, we were able to reflect even deeper on what that means to us.

With heavy hearts we were able to gather with loved ones and remember Papa Lineberry.

And I snapped a few pictures of the kids in their Easter outfits.

Love these kids to pieces!

Parker’s artwork consists of hunting, military jets, or fire trucks. I loved this one:

We “duckling”-sat for a few weeks. The kids wanted to bring Peeps in for their classes to see, and we ended up visiting 7 classes. Ben did the presenting—the kids loved it! Such a fun trip!

We went to the kids’ Spring Carnival at school. It was a miserable day outside, so the carnival was brought indoors. The kids had a blast. I’m pretty sure their favorite part was the horse rides!!! So fun!

Okayyyyy….

That brings me up to date with all my pictures. I guess it’s time to start pulling out the camera more and taking pictures! {Of my boringly crazy life!}

And we should probably go kite flying.

Cause I cleaned the car today…

Kite flying

Winter keeps holding on, so we took advantage of the first warm day and headed to Mt. Trashmore. Everybody had the same idea, so we spent most of our time on the mountain instead of the over crowded park! Uncle Justin came with us and we had a blast flying kites and running up and down the hill!

Preschooler

IMG_0350 (3)IMG_0351 (2)IMG_0353 (2)

This little girl is growing up too fast---she’s already out growing her clothes we bought her at Christmas! She has learned so much in preschool this year. And today she is going on her first field trip and riding the bus. Someone, please tell her to stop growing!

Easter Egg Hunt

We started this month off right—primary activity/easter egg hunt. It was so.much.fun! The kids planted seeds, played games, and hunted for eggs!

Bring on Easter and SPRING!!!

Birthday Omelet

I am officially 29 years old! I’m in denial…mostly. I’m not ready to turn 30, and I’m afraid this year is going to fly by way too fast.

My birthday was spent painting our bedroom. Nothing too exciting.

I had a special surprise visit from Robin. She came bearing gifts and a REALLY big balloon.

Ben and I went out for tai food—Emily and Justin came to babysit for us! {So nice}

And I went to the gym. {The one thing I really wanted to do!}

I only got three pictures of my special day. Ben made me an omelet for breakfast. And it was awesome. I even ate it on a Barbie plate. {How special!}

And I ended up sharing half of it with Parleigh.

Happy birthday to me!

I can’t even tell you how much this little girl completes our family! We are all smitten by her—her personality, her sweetness, and her silliness, and her cuteness! She is one LOVED little girl, that’s for sure!
