did someone say FLOUNDER?

Last weekend Ben and his father participated in a Flounder Tournament in the Chesapeake Bay. The bad news is....it lasted ALL day! The good news? Lots and lots of FLOUNDER! {For those of you who don't have the luxury of eating this amazingly delicious fish, well, it is amazingly delicious. It is by far my favorite fish to eat. Flaky, white meat. Yumm-O!}
Oh, and Pam and Penny--do you remember the "Good News, Bad News Joke Book?"

Since it was a tournament--there had to be a winner.

They won the tournament. 1st place. They had the most amount of weight combined--with Flounder, that is!
We went out to Benji's to help clean up the boat and get some pictures. The boys had fun playing with the fish. I enjoyed eating the fish. {Hey, we all have our priorities, right?}

Ben was so excited to tell me that the fish were HUGE. Well, when I saw them, I was expecting HUGE fish. And, then I remembered...these aren't halibut. Halibut are HUGE. But, these are pretty big for being Flounder....they did win the tourney, remember!

where do I

even begin?

Since I have returned from my trip to Idaho, I have yet to get back into the swing of things. I'm {almost} there, but not quite. Life has been {craZy!}

It started with me getting strep throat on my trip back. Then a couple of days later, I went back to the doctor, this time bringing Paisely in. She had a yeast infection. Two weeks after that, I was back at the doctor's, only Parker was in tow. He had a rash behind his ear, and in his groin area. Everyone seemed to be getting better. But, Paisley's rash wasn't going away. These past couple of days it has been getting worse. I was holding out because Preston and Paisley both had a scheduled well-baby/child check-up on {tuesday}. Sunday morning I woke up and my throat was kinda scratchy. I didn't think much of it, secretly hoping and {praying} that it wasn't strep again. It got worse and worse. Monday, I knew for sure it was strep, but was waiting for the children's appointment tuesday so we could all go in together. Sure enough, I had strep. Surprise surprise! And Paisley's rash? Well, the doctor isn't quite sure. He is referring her to a pediatric dermatologist. Hopefully they'll be able to diagnose it.

All this, plus I am in the process of getting my Scentsy business up and running. It has been a lot of fun. I ♥ talking Scentsy with people. It is such a fun/great product. And it isn't huge here yet! I got the scent of the month for August today. WOW! It smells so yummy! Just you wait! Better yet, throw a party!

I have started to potty-train Preston. He is SO ready. {Or is it that I am SO ready?} Next up? Getting the bunkbeds! :)

I WISH my camera was fixed. The zoom hasn't worked for months. So, either you can zoom in ALL the way, or none at all. And, it is very temperamental, too. But, that is doable. The thing that doesn't work, or rather, is nonexistent, is the button you push to take a picture. So, in order to capture a moment, you have to hold it just right while poking a stick just right into the hole. I was using a the end of a paintbrush the other night and i was working fairly well, all things considered!
I did get these pictures {and the bathtub pictures} of my little Sweet P the other night. As you can see, she has that darn rash!

Life...without a

camera.

The Lineberry family has been really busy lately. Enjoying the hot summer days at the beach {insert photo of children running from the waves here}, the water park {insert photo of Parker going down the "big kid" water slide, Paisley loving the water, and Preston golden brown from the sun}, and running through the sprinkler {insert photo of boys playing in their new beach ball sprinkler.}, and Kate trying to get back into the swing of things {insert photo of Kate discombobulated!}

Paisley has begun to "army crawl". {insert video of Paisley eying her brother's toys and stealthily rolling/scooting/crawling across the floor until she reaches her destination, only to have Preston seconds later steal the toy away from her. Now hear Paisley cry out in defeat}

Ben has done an amazing job with the garden. We have enjoyed corn on the cob {insert photo of the wall of corn across the front of our house, almost as high as the roof.} We have made several loaves of zucchini bread {insert photo of zucchini as long as your arm!}, and zucchini pizza {insert photo of family eating pizza made out of zucchini, that tasted like quiche}. After eating tomato sandwiches and blts, we decided to can some tomatoes. {insert photo of Kate and Donna spending a few hours today canning 26 pints of tomatoes.}

See, who needs a camera anyway? All we need is our imagination!

Happy {Father's} Day

Can I just say that my husband is pretty much the best dad, EVER!

I'm so sad I'm not able to be with him and the boys today, but I will be home tomorrow! :)

It is off to Boise tomorrow morning. It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive. I'll get to see family, friends, and a little bit more of the state of Idaho! {Let's hope it isn't raining the whole way!}

weekend {fun}

Mom was released from being a missionary on Thursday evening. We went with her for the car ride. Afterwards we went to Arctic Circle to eat. I ♥ Idaho! Little Matthew...he's about 6 weeks younger than Preston. Isn't he a cutie?

Friday we made a 10 hour drive up to Spokane, WA to attend the wedding of my sister Penny. It was a LONG LONG LONG car ride! It was so much fun seeing family and being there for Penny on her wedding day. If you want the details, refer to Pam's blog! {My brain is so fried from all the activities!}

Downtown Spokane, where we were staying, was absolutely beautiful. They have a Riverwalk that crosses over the many bridges throughout the city. As we were going over one of the bridges, if you stopped, you could feel the bridge moving from the force of the falls beneath. Needless to say, I didn't stop to take a picture on that bridge! Talk about me having anxiety! :)

We went out for dinner and had some yummy Mexican food. It was Beth's birthday, and the wonderful staff even serenaded her while she wore a big sombrero.

In the morning we woke up and ate breakfast at Frank's Diner, the best place for breakfast in Spokane. The diner is an old railway car that the president of the railroad line had used as his office. We were thinking that Guy Fieri stopped there on Diner's Drive-in's and Dives {but I don't think he did. But....he should! It was awesome!}

The ride home wasn't as bad as the ride up there. Most likely because I didn't have my mind going a million miles an hour worrying about the preparations for wedding. The weather turned cold, and I think there was a light dusting of snow on the mountains around us. BRRRR!

Paisley slept almost the whole time. She is such a sweet little baby.

It's good to be back in Pocatello. Things have been slower today...except for when Beth made me hike up the "hill" behind her house.

(a) It's not a hill, it's a mountain.

(b) There is NO AIR in Idaho! How do these people breath?

(c) We went at least 5 miles!

Beth is going to whip me into shape this trip! (And if not, Ben might not let me ever come back, especially if I gain weight!)

Welcome Home, MOM! ♥♥

Last night we went and picked my Mom up from the airport. Unfortunantly, her plane arrived early {so did we but apparently not early enough} so her arrival was sortof anti-climatic! She was waiting by the door when {we} came into the airport.

It was so wonderful to see her. She looks so good....still glowing from her Mission. For the past 18 months she has been serving in London, England. And now she is {home}! I am so excited that I get to spend this time with her! :)

Paisley also got to meet her Uncle Matt for the first time. She was SO mesmerized by his goatee! :)
